I've also had the opportunity to see a lot of new movies in the past month. My Super Ex-Girlfriend was a decent movie, by no means spectacular but a good show -- probably more worth seeing once it's out on DVD. Superman Returns I rather enjoyed, yet most people prefer Pirates over it but I personally liked this better. Pirates of the Caribbean, I was able to see this movie twice once at the midnight showing and then the evening of the opening day. I enjoyed it, but it just didn't seem as great as the first one... I can't really place my finger on why though. It's definitely a hit at the box though, as at the time of this, it's already tripled it's budget of $225 million in sales. A couple movies out right now I'd like to see but will probably wait until DVD are Scoop and Clerks II.

DVD-wise I've seen within the past month or so Stoned (decent movie), ATL (so-so), Final Destination III (made the second one look good), The Benchwarmers (friggen hilarious -- still as funny as when I saw it in the theatres), and V for Vendetta (very, very good!). It's actually been rather slow on good movies being released on DVD lately.

And I'll leave you with this priceless picture from USA vs. China game on August 7.

If you're against someone who is overly aggressive, wait until you have a monster, and punish them. For people who are a bit too passive, play aggressive to them, but definitely be wary if they push over you that they probably have you beat. Anyways, I'm sitting at around $650 right now and have definitely learned a lot more about my game and keep trying to improve it each day. I may spend some FPP's some day soon on a book, since I have yet to read anything yet.

Following the jump, you can see a couple hand histories from today's tourneys. And if you are interested, here's a cool link that I got from a friend. I think the beats are catchy and that chick is a crazy cat.

Hand 1 : How you go from split pot to why you shouldn't play A rag in early position. (Ended up bubbling out in 4th in this one.)

MySpace.com Sucks Pt. 2 http://www.unstopular.com/2006/05/myspacecom-sucks-pt-2 http://www.unstopular.com/2006/05/myspacecom-sucks-pt-2#comments Fri, 19 May 2006 04:12:54 +0000 unstopular Random Thoughts http://www.unstopular.com/2006/05/myspacecom-sucks-pt-2 myspace.com sucks. I've decided to elaborate a little bit more on why my reasoning is for this and if you must use the site, at least follow some basic rules to not make it suck as much. (Please notice, I cannot emphasis enough as much.)

First and foremost, I must let it be known that I do in fact have a Myspace account (not hard to find if you have somewhat of a brain) but I prefer to not reveal too much about myself there. If you want to know more about me, I suggest e-mail OR AIM.

Reasonings for MySpace.com suckage
  1. Users are vastly uneducated when it comes to linking of images and often just link to an image that someone is paying their hard earned money to host. Not such a big problem, but when you have the people that have so called 1000+ friends, that can add up to some bandwidth issues eventually.

  2. Too much music - yeah it's nice to hear a song once, but I don't want to hear it everytime I load your page. (Yes, turning it off becomes a nusance.)

  3. Spam - who the hell are you, and why are you wanting to be my friend? Send a message before you send an "Add Friend" request, but I guess some people are caught up and think the more friends you have, the more popular you must be!

WorstOfMySpace has a good help section on ways to not suck at myspace.
Don’t list your income. I repeat: Do not list your income. I can’t believe how many people do this!
First of all, it’s just incredibly tacky. Do you walk around in a bar telling people how much you make?

Second, because:

- “Under $30,000″, and you look like a loser
- “$250,000 and higher”, and you look like a prick
- Anything else, and you’re just boring average Joe

Best to just keep them guessing and make them find out what a broke-ass degenerate you are after you hit it.
Let's get real people, MySpace was a great idea -- but just has too many retard users. Help to educate them, for the sake of all humanity.]]>

All it takes is will power http://www.unstopular.com/2006/04/all-it-takes-is-will-power http://www.unstopular.com/2006/04/all-it-takes-is-will-power#comments Thu, 06 Apr 2006 05:48:08 +0000 unstopular Random Thoughts http://www.unstopular.com/2006/04/all-it-takes-is-will-power want to actually want the change. This is entirely important, because if you don't then you are only fooling yourself and you'll end up back in your same habits.

Once you've decided you want change, make the change. The first couple of weeks are the roughest, and if you can make it through these then you can do it. But it isn't hard to resort back to your old ways if you aren't careful. One must realize that it takes will power at this stage to not go back. After three months of not smoking I don't find everyday things to bother me and want to smoke, but drinking is the huge issue. This is when I think to myself how long and well I've done so far, and if that doesn't help I think of the reasons why I wanted to stop.

As time caries on these urges will be die down faster and faster until they don't exist anymore. (In some cases though, they may never go away completely but because rather small instead -- as if to be gone.) Overall, just remember that you want the change -- it's up to you if you succeed, as it is your life and you control everything and have no one else to blame but yourself if you fail.]]>

The only considerable change is that I now have another domain to go along with No-Doubt.net and behind the scenes I have switched from Movable Type to WordPress.

Don't expect too much from me over this weekend though as I will be out of town but I have many thoughts that I think I may be posting in the near future. ]]>

Session Results: UP $37.50
Current Winnings: $423.00 In the past 8 days I have won about $150, all of which is going towards my move to go back to Ohio. The plan is that I will be gone by February 5. I am going up to Ohio for New Years this weekend and will be going back sometime in the beginning of January to find the right apartment.

Poker is becoming exciting for me again and I am playing solid once again. I realized that after my bad slide that I was becoming a bit too loose and needed to tighten my game up some. It sucks though, because once this move happens I won't have any money in Pokerstars anymore because I'll have to withdrawl everything. Hopefully by that time I can have around $800 which will definitely be of great help.

Poker is now not something to take my mind off of her but a means to help me accomplish my goal and not owe people as much.]]>
